Munich – SC Paderborn 07 were the major winners on the opening night of Bundesliga 2 action this year as the season’s surprise package moved into second with victory over Union Berlin. The leapfrog was made possible by Fürth’s shock defeat in Dresden. Elsewhere FSV Frankfurt racked up their first win in ten matches away to Duisburg.
