Bolton Wanderers Football Club are plotting a bid for Danny Collins. Owen Coyle has lost star defender Gary Cahill this month, having sold the England star to Chelsea six months before his contract was due to expire.
According to coach Felix Magath, this Brazilian centre-back can “play in the Bundesliga next week” as long as he attains full fitness. Lopes arrived from Portuguese first division side Nacional Funchal and comes with a warm recommendation from keeper Diego Benaglio, who knows him from their time together in Madeira: “He’s big, fast and has everything a central defender needs.” Lopes is hoping to take over a key role in the back four having captained Nacional.
